A knee-high boot with a waterproof upper and a deep-tread rubber sole. The tread is the point — it grips on wet pavement and soft ground, so the boot works on a muddy walk as well as it does in town.
A strap at the side adjusts, which lets you close the shaft against a narrower calf or open it out over jeans. The shaft is structured rather than slouchy, so it stays upright through the day instead of folding at the ankle. They fit true to size, so take your usual UK size.
